Potential candidate teams for Seth Curry

Duke star Seth Curry went undrafted and will now be hoping to land a spot on NBA team roster this year. Honestly I believe teams are making a huge mistake by passing up on this guy and will regret it very soon. Curry suffered a tough shin injury that resulted in him having surgery at the end of season which caused him to miss NBA team workouts. I guess many teams felt drafting the Duke star would be a bit risky at this time and believe that Curry is a very talented player to a certain extent. Curry is a bit under sized at 6'2" for a shooting guard position and lacks the athleticism ability that most NBA guards he will face possess. At his size he would be forced to transition himself into a point guard just like his older brother Stephen Curry. The only problem with that is averaging only 1.5 assist in his last year means teams believe he lacks the court vision of a point guard. I can agree with scouting report but one thing they also forgot to add is that this kid could shoot the lights out of a gym. In his last year Curry averaged 17.5 ppg with a career high shooting pectange of .438 from the floor and three-point line. That's a pretty good stat line wouldn't you agree? Let's also not forget that this a player who played for one of the greatest coaches of all-time, Mike Krzyzewski. It is definitely not easy to receive a spot on Coach K's roster and to play under the pressure that this program possess. Of course Seth does not acquire the exact skill set that his older bother does, but he can definitely become a lethal weapon on the offensive end as a shooter just like his father Dell Curry. Now I'm saying he will become an instant star just like his brother but he could be a very helpful scorer for these teams below.

Golden State Warriors
The Warriors are a young and upcoming team ready to take on the quest of a NBA Championship with a key addition to their roster, Andre Iguodala. Nothing probably would make Stephen Curry more happy then to play along side his younger brother. Also it would definitely benefit the Warriors as team to obtain another scoring guard to help after losing back up point guard Jarret Jack. Of course Seth would have to play point guard but with the nurturing of his older brother and Head Coach Mark Jackson could definitely help him emerge as a point guard. Remember Stephen did not bear the skills of a point guard in his years at Davidson but learned to develop as one once he began his career in the NBA. In the Warriors up tempo system Seth Curry could develop as a key player to hit open shots and score in transition. Stephen has been campaigning for teams to sign his younger brother on his twitter page. With Curry emerging as the star for the Warriors, he could very well be the leading voice for the organization to give his brother the opportunity to be sign.

Miami Heat
The Heat would seem to not need much help after winning their second championship in a row but  they are in serious need of some more help if they are looking to achieve a three-peat. Miami recently were forced to use their amnesty clause on shooting guard Mike Miller a few weeks ago which without a doubt decreases the Heat's three-point shooting percentage. Miller's $6.2 million salary for 2013-14 will save the Heat more than $16 million in luxury tax payments under the new, more punitive tax rate that kicks in next season. With teams becoming more apparent in the league this year, Miami will definitely need to look into improving such as replacing Miller's presence. As of now Miami seems to be on the right track of getting better in their post game pursuing to sign Center Greg Oden. This would definitely be a great opportunity for Seth Curry to become that replacement for Miller at a much more affordable salary. Also it would be perfect for the convenience of Curry to be mentored by future Hall-of-Famer Ray Allen. He his under sized to play Allen's position but with a team such as Miami, defense is not stressed upon the shooting guard so much. We all know Miller and Allen are not the best defenders on the team but their lack of defense were substituted for great shots. When teams face off against the Heat, it's usually LeBron James and Dwyane Wade's ultimate duty to guard the best players of the opposing team. Just like Miller and Allen's role, the focus for Curry would be to position yourself in ready position to hit open buckets and score in transition. We should all know that is something he will do as the pure shooter he is.

Charlotte Bobcats
Honestly this would be the superb opportunity for Seth Curry to sign with his hometown team the Charlotte Bobcats, and soon to be Hornets. With Charlotte going back to the Hornets, Seth would have the chance to wear his father's #30 jersey in a Hornets uniform just as he once did in his NBA career. Nothing would make a father more proud than to watch his younger son carry on his Charlotte Hornet's legacy in this generation. With Dell Curry working as the Bobcats broadcaster he would have a opportunity to watch and call his son's games. During Dell's career as a Hornet he averaged 13.8 points per game with a .39 three-point shooting percentage and was able to obtain the sixth man award in the 1988-89 season. Seth has the potential to mirror his father's statistics and achievements as a player especially with a team that is in need of desperate help. Charlotte is definitely in need of desperate scoring after ranking 26th as a team in points per game shooting only .334 percent from beyond the ark. Curry definitely could provide Charlotte with an ability they have lack for years and that's a pure shooter. It seems as if the opportunity to become that lethal weapon is destined for a player like him to not only carry his father's legacy but to become Charlotte's hometown hero.
